Latepost: Happy 4 dear Dagna

Repost from Asenk's Facebook.
---------------------------------------

You turned 4 today. Time really flies. I could still vividly remember the day you were born. Your first cry was my greatest joy. You were so tiny that I thought I could hold you only by one hand. Now you have grown, and more importantly, turned into my little angel who always gives me strength to move forward even if the obstacles ahead seem impossible to overcome. When I was in doubt or in distress, I took a look at you. You sometimes didn't say anything. You just smiled and laughed, but somehow it made all the difference. Your smile and laugh started the fire in my belly. Your smile and laugh empowered me.

You are a very sweet little girl. You have your own way to persuade me (and Dhyani) to get something you want. You rarely make direct demands but you always know what to say to make me feel obliged to finally give you something that you want. I recall that in the middle of the snow where it was so freezing cold and windy, you said to me "Dad, I can smell doughnuts from here, can you smell them too?". Or if you wanted chocolates when we did grocery shopping, you simply said "Dad, is that thing expensive?" You knew how to put me in a position where I would feel bad if I didn't buy the doughnuts or chocolates. Don’t get me wrong. I am not complaining. On the contrary, I am very happy with your development, as you seem to be able to create a strategy to get something you really want. This is something a good lawyer will do (well, I am not saying that you should be a lawyer, hahaha).

Happy birthday Hayanara Dagna Adila, my sweet little angel. I may not be the best father (but rest assured that I am and will always trying to be one), but you are definitely the perfect daughter. Love you.
